What do you think of the World of Hyatt Discoverist card?

The Discoverist card arrived in the mail from Hyatt a few days ago.

The Discoverist is the lowest status in Hyatt’s new royalty program, the World of Hyatt.

Above the Discoverist are the Explorist and the Globalist (highest rank).

The card design is more modern compared to that from the older program (Gold Passport).

There seems to be a lot of cost involved with all the branding because everything looks really nice.

I never found use for the member’s card which they send every year.

I’m not sure if they are going to change the design every year but if they are, this could be something I can look forward to.

World of Hyatt Achieving Status

Discoverist Explorist Globalist
Nights 10 30 60
Base Points 25,000 ($5,000) 50,000 ($10,000) 100,000 ($20,000)

Aim for Globalist!

It is better than nothing to have the Discoverist status but what you really need to fully enjoy staying at the Hyatt is the Globalist status.

I had Diamond status under the former program for about 5 years and it was awesome!

I probably won’t make it this year, but it is definitely something to aim for next year!
